About Me

In 2010 I embarked on a journey to learn how to build a website. As an eauntrepenuer with little money to spare and a love for figuring things out I studied hard. I read books and took courses to learn about WordPress, html, css, video editing, email list building, branding, blogging, content marketing and more. I was already a photographer and budding graphic designer and I included a study of the state of the art software, Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign and others in the Adobe Creative Suite line.

Since that time I’ve learned the ins and outs of building WordPress sites and the power that comes from being in control of my own web presence, having the ability to create products and to share my expertise with my readers and followers. I built several sites for the Opare Institute family of offerings and built a platform that includes a growing email list, digital courses, print and e–books, a YouTube channel, and ecommerce integration.

Over time people started asking for help for their businesses and Ama Opare Design was born. I’ve heard many stories of being left in the lurch by designers who disappeared midway through a project, leaving an unfinished site and taking the passwords and access to the administration with them. Or who let their own design esthetic matter more in their work than the desire and needs of the business owner.

I’ve heard the frustration of trying to understand how to make what you’ve envisioned come to being. Of finding the right images, resources and social media platforms. And the struggle of connecting to the people you want to help.

In this day and age having a outdated, broken or worse, no website means you cant have the impact you are meant to have. It is my goal to help you and your small business make a statement and a difference through your online presence and to make sure you have the knowledge to manage it going forward.

If you’re overwhelmed or just need a little help I’d love to talk about how I can help you. Check out my Working With Me page to learn more about my process and what I expect from you. Then if it sounds good to you, contact me  to set up a time to talk about your project and your needs
