How I Work

Greetings!

It’s my mission to help you make your online presence reflect the personality of your business. An up-to-date and user friendly website is a must-have asset for any business in this day and age.

Here are all the basics about how I work. Please read through this page carefully to make sure that my processes work for you. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Office Hours

I work Monday-Friday from 10 am to 4 pm GMT+3 (that’s East Africa time.) This means that if you are in the US, your morning, as early as you are able will work best for me for meeting via zoom or speaking by phone. I am available on WhatsApp and Skype. To schedule a time to speak please email or text me to arrange a time. I will provide the best numbers to contact me based on your location. 

I do my best to reply to all communication regarding active projects the same day. After business hours I will acknowledge your communication and let you know when I will be able to respond to your needs. 

What's Included

Here’s what you’re getting: A gorgeous and functional custom website design to sell your services and products. This website will be built using WordPress, a customized theme, and Elementor Page Builder, which means you’ll be able to update it easily. This way you’ll have complete control over your site and your content. 

I’ll also include my recommended plugins to help backup and secure your site, as well as a few I’ve found that make updating your site easier. 

We’ll meet for a strategy session via video chat to nail down all your needs and get us both %100 on the same page. I wan’t to know exactly what your business is about and what your vision is for your website. 

After the project begins, we’ll have meetings every-other week to review whats been done so far, and where we’re going next.

If you choose to include support for building your business structures such as email list building and building a marketing framework we’ll meet weekly.  

The website design and development does not include any font, image or premium plugin licenses, so if there are specific fonts, images or plugins you want to use, or if you need me to find them for you, let me know right away. The cost of these items will be billed separately or you will need to purchase them at the start of the project.  

I will recommend services such as email marketing providers, cloud storage etc. if needed. You will need to create accounts and decide on the packages that will meet your website goals and needs. 

What I Need From You

Before we get started, I’ll need the following from you:

Answers to some questions

I need to get an in-depth look at your business, so I can strategically plan your site. I’ll send you a questionnaire. Please fill it out as completely as possible right away.

Content

To build your website properly, I’ll need your content before we begin. This includes text copy and any images you wish to use.

Starting with the content will let me focus the design around your content and highlight all the important aspect to funnel visitor where you want them to go.

Process And Timeline

The overall process varies slightly from project to project, but this timeline outlines the major milestones and I’ll do my best to stick to it, or let you know if your project will vary greatly from what is outlined below. Please note that e-commerce and membership sites take longer to develop, please add 2-4 weeks to the development portion of the timeline if we’re making an ecommerce or membership site together.

Before Projects Begins

You: You make a down payment to get on the schedule
Us: We have a strategy session to determine the goals and features of your website
You: You begin the homework I’ve assigned as well as gather all website content
Me: I schedule your project and am available if you have questions

During The Design Process

Week 1

You: All content and homework is due
You: Login info due
Me: Start outlining the site

Week 2

Me: I’ll send you a mockup/design concept based on your stated needs
You: You’ll provide feedback on the mockup any changes you’d like

Week 3

Me: I’ll tweak the mockup based on your feedback
You: You’ll answer any questions I have as I tweak the design

Week 4

You: You’ll give approval on the design/mockup
Me: I’ll start developing the design into a website.

Week 5

Me: I’ll continue developing the design
You: You’ll answer any questions I have as I create the site

Week 6

Me: I’ll send you the site for review
You: You’ll review the site and provide feedback

Week 7

Me: I’ll tweak the site based on your feedback
You: You’ll sign off on the site

Week 8

You: You make final payment
Me: I’ll launch the site on your server
You: You’ll celebrate!

Marketing Strategy Coaching

If we’re working on a marketing strategy together, we’ll meet weekly via phone or video. I’ll have projects for you to work on between sessions that will guide you through the process of creating your strategy. Each session will build on the previous session.

You’ll end up with an in-depth knowledge of who your client/customers are, what they need and want and why your business is the right choice to meet those needs. We’ll also identify strategies to reach your target market with the right message.

How Much Will Your Website Cost?

In general, most new or complete redesign websites start at $1500 and go up in price based on a few factors: complexity, scope, and timeline. We’ll discuss your project and I’ll create a custom quote based on your needs. 

The price quoted at the beginning of the project may not be the final price as changes to the scope of work (adding, removing or changing features) may result in the final project cost changing.

Finally, the timeline affects the price. The price quoted is based in part on the amount of time I believe the project will take to complete. Delays due to failure on your part to provide content or feedback will result in a “holding fee” for each week the project extends past the timeline. If you have tight deadline a “rush fee” may be charged to complete the project in time.
